Educational Focus

  • Bridge engineering fundamentals with innovation, by designing and teaching courses that prepare students for real-world structural challenges.
  • Foster bilingual civil engineering education, helping internationalize the curriculum and mentor students in both Romanian and English.
  • Encourage student-led research and experimentation, particularly in finite element modeling and structural safety evaluation.
  • Blend the fuzzy with the techy, by inviting students to explore both analytical rigor and creative thinking—through cross-disciplinary tools, speculative scenarios, and problem-based learning.
  • Strengthen the industry–education connection, by embedding real-life challenges, site contexts, and collaborative industry projects into the learning process.
  • Create immersive educational experiences, where students don’t just acquire skills, but co-design meaningful, memorable learning journeys that reflect both professional demands and societal relevance.

Circular Cultures Design School – Strand B Curator

At CCDS 2026, I work as co-curator of Strand B: The Connection Line, a track dedicated to exploring the future of industry through the lens of Industry 5.0, circular innovation, and human–machine collaboration. Together with the British Council and Politehnica University Timișoara, we facilitate interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect engineering students with real-world sustainability challenges, fostering prototypes and dialogues at the intersection of technology, design, and social impact.
