Art–Tech–Community Nexus

Catalyst & Connector: My Role in Projects

In many of the projects I engage with, I act as a nexus figure — someone who helps ideas take shape by linking people, institutions, and disciplines that don’t typically meet. Whether through initiating collaborations or navigating institutional barriers, I contribute by making things happen at the intersection of engineering, art, and civic life.

Nexus Focus:
  • Initiate or co-design interdisciplinary and hybrid projects
  • Introduce cultural actors to academic environments and vice versa
  • Facilitate access to knowledge, infrastructure, and people
  • Translate between the values and languages of different domains: technical, artistic, civic

 Selected Examples

  • Bright Cityscapes (Timișoara 2023)
Facilitated the connection between the FABER team (curators and designers) and researchers and laboratories at Politehnica University of Timișoara (UPT). This ensured that cultural exploration of post-industrial identity was grounded in real technological and engineering processes.

  • 1978 (Hungarian State Theatre, hosted by UPT)
Helped bring this politically and historically charged theatre piece into the university setting, turning an academic building into a site of memory, resistance, and civic performance.

  • Researchers / Cercetători, cercetătoare. Intervention in Public Space (Matei Bejenaru, 2023)
Acted as a connector between the artist and the academic community. Helped identify and introduce researchers and scientific voices who were featured in this public space project reflecting on the visibility of research in society.
