Structuring public information, dialogue and collective action
My civic work in Timișoara has developed through informal groups, public-information initiatives and learning programmes. I contribute by organising processes: bringing people into a shared working frame, making information easier to use, moderating disagreement and helping voluntary initiatives move from discussion to coordinated action.
I usually work as a co-initiator, moderator, project coordinator or trainer. These are collective initiatives; my role is not to speak on behalf of the communities involved, but to help create the conditions in which their knowledge, priorities and actions can become more visible and useful.
What I contribute
Convening and coordination
Bringing individuals, informal groups, NGOs and institutions into a workable process around a shared local issue.
Structuring public information
Organising fragmented information, community needs and public commitments so they can be understood, compared and used by citizens.
Co-designing tools for participation
Creating accessible digital and practical tools for mapping, monitoring and coordinating community action.
Facilitating civic learning
Designing discussions and learning formats that help participants investigate issues, work through disagreement and develop their own responses.
Selected civic initiatives
GreenTwin: community and technology working for nature
Co-initiator; application co-design; Vice-President of Platforma Inițiativa Digitală Verde;
GreenTwin combines community action and accessible technology to support nature. It began with mapping, adopting, watering and monitoring urban trees in Timișoara and is expanding towards environmental learning and community-led projects.
Since 2026, the initiative has operated through the nonprofit Platforma Inițiativa Digitală Verde. BeeGreen is one of its educational programmes, focused on pollinators, urban biodiversity and hands-on environmental observation.
AntiCovidTM
During the first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, AntiCovidTM brought together civic and social initiatives working to reduce the effects of the crisis in Timișoara. The platform helped make local humanitarian initiatives, needs and resources more visible and supported coordination between informal groups, NGOs and public institutions.
Within the collective, I contributed to overall coordination and moderated the working group responsible for public information. My role focused on organising inputs from different actors and helping turn fragmented information into material that could circulate publicly.
From electoral accountability to long-term civic participation
Roles: Co-initiator, CetățeanTM (2020); programme team member, E și treaba mea (2024)
CetățeanTM was an informal initiative developed around the 2020 local elections in Timișoara. It compared local government programmes and helped make electoral priorities and commitments easier for citizens to examine and monitor.
E și treaba mea addresses related questions through a longer-term framework. Developed by a civic consortium in Timișoara, the programme supports non-partisan local initiatives concerned with civic education, transparent public information, data collection, monitoring and community mobilisation.
Through these two collective initiatives, I have contributed to different parts of the same civic process: making public commitments easier to examine and helping create conditions for citizens to develop their own forms of participation and accountability.

Civic learning and public dialogue
I have also contributed to learning formats connecting civic participation, culture and place. These include the design of the civic-trainer programme Vocea din camera mea. Poveștile cartierului (Voice from My Room: Neighbourhood Stories, 2020) and the co-facilitation of Timișoara civică și culturală. De explorat, de revoluționat, de jucat (2021), together with Anca Berlogea and Ludovic Satmari.
The latter was developed within Lideri între egali (Leaders Among Equals), a training programme for volunteers involved in the Timișoara European Capital of Culture programme.
My civic involvement has also informed CiviCultura, where civic research, participation and public-space work developed into cultural formats. These projects are presented under Cultural production.
